The organization of the entire chain of intermodal transport requires the support of a complex
structure, followed by considerable investments.
The logistic platform of Bari is organized in three terminals: two inland and a dock, in which are
daily organized: trains, feeder ships and trucks.
It is from this point that trains, feeder, ships and trucks are organized on a daily basis.
All operations are self managed in the firm belief that the direct control on the production factors
is an element of success in the creation of a product of quality.
All control operations on the network of railway services are managed from the head office in Bari.
G.T.S. in its role as an MTO operates directly as a railway carrier in the production of full trains on
both domestic and international routes.
Deliveries are directly organized and managed with our own swap body fleet, with door
to door services.
Strategic points on the intermodal land are Bari, Piacenza, Gioia Tauro, Salerno, Nola, Zeebrugge
(B), Genk (B), London and Manchester (U.K.) and. From these terminals there are connections, thus
allowing complete shuttle trains to cover the most important production and consummation
areas in Europe.
For it's geographical position, Bari offers itself as an outpost towards the Balkans, Greece and
Turkey, these areas served daily with swap bodies utilising the port operation Ro-Ro service.
The combined domestic service is flanked by a "maritime combination" between Bari, Gioia Tauro and
Salerno, in this case it is serviced with dedicated shuttle trains, the docks which originated from the
production areas of Bari.
Apart from the full loads, there is also the possibility to use the activity all over Europe of the
distribution dedicated to padded furniture through the Mach3000 network of which G.T.S. is an exclusive
partner for Italy. All of which is managed directly with our own trucks, warehouses and staff.
