BARI TERMINAL MANAGEMENT SERVICE

G.T.S. S.p.A. operates in the dock terminal run by B.C.T. S.r.l. (Bari Container Terminal) a company of G.T.S., it also operates on two inland rail terminals directly connected to the R.F.I. lines.

Lamasinata, the company's historical terminal, covering a total surface of 18.000 square meters, has two flat tracks of 500 linear meters and is equipped with two cranes for the movement of both containers and swap bodies.

Ferruccio, the new platform, has an area of 55.000 square meters and three flat tracks for a total of 1.700 linear meters. The four cranes have the ability to work 16 complete trains per day.

G.T.S., apart from the movement of it's own trains, offers also a terminal entrance for train containers and swap bodies, and is in fact the terminal operator for some of the main maritime companies. There is also a container repair facility within the terminal.

Apart from the main terminal activity G.T.S. also foresees to offer a local positioning service by means of it's own haulage fleet consisting of more than 50 tractor units equipped with semi trailers for containers of 13.60 m. and upwards.

Within the harbour of Bari the B.C.T. operates as the terminal feeder for the largest navigation company of the world: Maersk Sealand.

The connection from the dock of Bari to the main hub of Gioia Tauro, allows the loading of international and intercontinental ships.
